Industry 4.0 Lean Shopfloor Management Characterization Using EEG Sensors and Deep Learning
Achieving the shift towards Industry 4.0 is only feasible through the active integration of the shopfloor into the transformation process. Several shopfloor management (SM) systems can aid this conversion. They form two major factions. The first includes methodologies such as Balanced Scorecard (BSC). A defining feature is rigid structures to fixate on pre-defined goals. Other SM strategies instead concentrate on continuous improvement by giving directions. An example of this group is the “HOSHIN KANRI TREE” (HKT). One way of analyzing the dissimilarities, the advantages and disadvantages of these groups, is to examine the neurological patterns of workers as they are applying these. This paper aims to achieve this evaluation through non-invasive electroencephalography (EEG) sensors, which capture the electrical activity of the brain. A deep learning (DL) soft sensor is used to classify the recorded data with an accuracy of 96.5%. Through this result and an analysis using the correlations of the EEG signals, it has been possible to detect relevant characteristics and differences in the brain’s activity. In conclusion, these findings are expected to help assess SM systems and give guidance to Industry 4.0 leaders.

Supply Chain Management: A Structured Narrative Review of Current Challenges and Recommendations for Action
Background: By examining the recent advancements in technology, particularly the transformation of material into digital flows and its impact on customer demands, the aim of this paper is to investigate supply chain management (SCM) by analyzing seven key constructs: uncertainty, perspective, topicality, coordination, flow, job to be done, and connection. These constructs were chosen since they reflect evolving SCM practices that motivate this study. Methods: We conducted a broad, structured narrative review to comprehensively address the extensive SCM literature. This approach allowed us to evaluate the current state of SCM research and offer recommendations for overcoming prevailing challenges. Results: Our findings reveal the significant impact of technological advancements on SCM operations, requiring companies to adapt and remain competitive. We envision future supply chains as dynamic networks of networks, necessitating the adoption of a value architecture concept that extends a firm’s business model to an ecosystem business model. Conclusions: Considering these changes, our study recommends exploiting uncertainty, adopting demand-driven systems, offering on-demand customized services and products, utilizing prescriptive analytics, prioritizing information flows and services, and embracing open systems with high interoperability. Summarizing these opportunities and challenges that arise with changes in SCM provides interesting venues for future research and valuable insights for practitioners.

Both organizations need to change for the organization to succeed. This paper suggests how moving Marketing and Sales from a transactional approach to a customer-centric approach and using the customer buying process aligns the organizations and improves both organizations’ effectiveness at growing the top line.

The Forecasting Sales Volume and Satisfaction of Organic Products through Text Mining on Web Customer Reviews
The purpose of this study was to predict the online sales volume for organic products, identify important factors for selling organic products, and suggest web marketing strategies for organic product sales. Through the review of organic products on Taobao’s platform, the emotional analysis method is used to divide the review of crawling organic products into positive reviews and negative reviews. Using the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) method, extracting keywords, identifying important factors for selling organic products, using online survey methods and regression analysis methods, obtaining customers’ purchase intentions, and suggesting web marketing strategies for organic product sales, and by collecting data on organic products’ price, current price, free delivery, sales volume, number of customer reviews, customer reviews, organic labeling, and product fans on Taobao’s platform, the neural network analysis method is used to predict the online sales volume for organic products. This study found that packaging design, nutritional information, food quality, delivery risk, freshness, and source risk are the important online factors in the buying of organic products and the products’ fans, price discount, and number of customer reviews affected the sales volume. Therefore, the promotion of online services and logistics can be used to increase the sales of organic products. This research has an important role in promoting the sale of organic products and improving consumer satisfaction, providing consumers with safe and reliable products, and at the same time has important significance for promoting sustainable development.

The Extent and Efficiency of Credit Reallocation During Economic Downturns
The theoretical literature on credit reallocation has yielded conflicting predictions on both the extent and the efficiency of reallocations during economic downturns. We borrowed the methodology of measuring job reallocation to measure credit reallocation and examine which predictions are consistent with the data. We reported the following findings: (1) the extent of credit reallocation is smaller in recessions than in expansions, which is attributable to the decreasing extent of credit creation; (2) this tendency was more pronounced during the Lost Decade of the 1990s; (3) credit reallocation generally is efficiency-enhancing, but at a lower rate in recessions and turns to efficiency-reducing during the Lost Decade, possibly due to financial assistance by banks to large but low-quality firms (e.g., through zombie lending). These findings indicate that the inefficient credit reallocation during the Lost Decade was characterized by efficiency-reducing reallocation to large firms.
